Located in one of the most spectacular natural settings, Marina Pez Vela is a world class marina, yacht yard and commercial development with roots firmly planted in the history, culture and stunning natural beauty of the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area. Marina Pez Vela offers guests 195 slips, floating concrete docks, a safe operating depth of 14 feet ensuring easy access for all vessels up to 200 ft and a custom designed coffer dam system which has created a tranquil basin for the protection of their vessels.

After a short but nice walk next to the coastline and beach of Quepos, you’ll find the "Saint-Tropez of Quepos", or Marina Pez Vela. This newly built yacht yard has a variety of things to do, restaurants, local artisan shops, and more. It’s definitely worth a visit during your stay and will be the main port for most water based tours and activities in the area.

They offer primary care, doctor’s consults and there’s a pharmacy. It’s open from Monday until Friday (8:00-18:00) and Saturday (9:00-12:00)

Banco Promerica

There’s an ATM where you can get money. It’s open from Monday till Friday (9:00-18:00) and Saturday (9:00-12:00)

National Rent a Car

If you need a car you can rent it over there with good rates and services! It’s open everyday from Monday till Sunday (9:00-16:00).

Oceans Unlimited

This is a shop where you can buy diving stuff, but also experience it yourself for the first time or even get your dive certificate over there. It’s open everyday from 7:00 to 18:00 and Sunday till 16:00.

Tours and Activities at Marina Pez Vela

Fishing Tour

Do you want to fish your first sailfish? Then this activity is something for you. You can book a boat tour for half a day or a full day. The boat-tour includes fruits, drinks, fishing gear for inshore fishing. There’s a captain and his mate onboard so you can fully relax. If you book a full day you can also enjoy offshore fishing.

Catamaran Tour

The catamaran tour departs from Marina Pez Vela for a 3.5hour tour to the Quepos and Manuel Antonio shores. You are going to enjoy snorkeling at Biesanz beach. Lunch, fruits, drinks, snacks and snorkeling equipment are included. The catamaran has cool slides to take a dip in the water.

Whales Watching Tour

Definitely a must-do activity when you’re in Costa Rica in the rainy season. The tour includes lunch, fruits, drinks and snorkeling equipment.

Jet Ski Tour

The Jet Ski Tour is 2 hours to Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Fruits and water are included.

Boat Tour

A two hour tour to Quepos and Manuel Antonio’s shores. You can snorkel around while doing a boat trip.

Parasailing Tour

If you are looking for parasailing the pacific coast, book your place! The estimated time in the boat is 1 hour and the time in the air will be around 8 to 12 minutes.

These incredible and modern villas are conveniently located right above the retail shops inside the Marina. From these ocean view villas, you have a host of fun activities at your fingertips, and can be at the national park within 15 minutes. These newly built villas feature an incredible rooftop pool, multiple ocean view dining options and spacious villas complete with kitchenettes, air conditioning and cable tv. Prices range between $300 and $600 per night depending on the villa and time of year.

Best Waterfall tour in Costa Rica - Full Day Waterfall Adventure with Paddle 9 If you are spending some time in the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area of Costa Rica and want to see (and jump off of) some of the area's magnificent waterfalls- then a full day waterfall tour is well worth it! Here is an outline of my full day waterfall tour with Paddle 9: I started my day with delicious breakfast at Villas Jacquelina , my eco hotel here in Quepos. After finishing breakfast, I was picked up by my guides directly at my hotel. I was immediately introduced to all the guides and the rest of my group, a family, an elder couple and a younger couple. This warm introduction made me feel very welcome, as I was traveling solo. The tour consists of 3 waterfalls, a lunch, and a beautiful beach stop to end your day. The drive is about an hour to the first waterfall, during which, the guides gave detailed information about the area, its history, and extensive knowledge about its wildlife and agricultural traits. This made the drive very pleasant, along with the stunning views along the coastal road.
